“I have been painting landscape paintings featuring wind turbines—often specifically the wind turbines of Wolfe Island—for several years now. When I began to do so it was a bit of a lightbulb moment....the wind turbines themselves lend a structural element to the composition, a way to inject a graphic, modern focal point in to an abstrated landscape. They also are a distinct reference to place, as this is now our vista. As always when painting, I leap in with faith and await the unexpected.”
