This one of a kind piece was made by hot pieces of glass applied to a form which are then sculpted by hand with specialized tools, while all being done at temperatures over 2000 degrees.

The islands of Trinidad and Tobago where Mariel Waddell Hunter was raised have inspired and influenced many of her glass series. The experience of living in those centers of natural beauty has been the main foundation for her artistic vision.
