Liz Rae Dalton is a Canadian artist who lives on an island where Lake Ontario meets the St. Lawrence River. She has explored her life on the water throughout her artistic career.
"All of the work that I create relates to my marine environment, and it is grouped in series. Materials, approaches, and techniques change within each series, to allow me the creative opportunity to experiment with ideas and themes. I am always growing as an artist because I allow myself the freedom to explore."
Dalton's most recent work with Encaustic on Driftwood (molten beeswax and pigment) demonstrates her success in artistic exploration.
