"I create each piece of wearable art with an assortment of found and recycled objects; discarded metal, paper clips and broken jewelry. I mix these with raw stones, agates, crystals, and pearls to create a depth of colour, form, movement and a poetic rhythm. Using steel and copper wire I wrap each of these elements, building the piece on a dress form, similar to as one builds a painting, stroke by stroke. Colour and composition play an important role and as the piece grows, I add different tints and textures to create balance and movement. The end result is a functional piece of art which is its own unique poem of form."
